If you're thinking of coming here to relax but are worried about the weather, don't be! For example, you can go to our heated swimming pool, visit the sauna town in nearby Volary or perhaps the waterpark in Waldkirchen. There are also beautiful towns like Český Krumlov, Passau and others. You definitely won't be bored here!

Downhill skiing

In the eyes of many a beginner visitor, Šumava is more of a cross-country skiing paradise. On the Czech side of Šumava, the Šumava Plains are spread over an area of 670 km2 and with their average altitude of almost 1000 m above sea level, they are truly ideal for cross-country skiers. However, the other side of the Bohemian Forest (in Bavaria and Austria) has a completely different character and besides the venue of the World Cup in downhill skiing offers other great areas where you can easily come with a smile on your lips to a high-speed accident:) It should be added that the Czech side also has a number of attractive hills from the point of view of downhill skiing, but almost none of them has a ski resort. There are, of course, a number of reasons for this, with nature conservation playing a major role at the moment.

Neuschönau treetop trail

You can also hike the world's longest treetop trail - the Baumwipfelpfad in Neuschönau in the Bavarian Forest National Park. The trail is 1320 m long and 44 m high. Dreamy views await you along almost the entire length of the trail, and from the highest point on the "tree tower" you can even see the northern ridge of the Alps on clear and fine days. Simply a fairy tale.
